Who, what, why

Plan your conference

An inspiring conference is also a well-planned conference. Set your goals, plan ahead, and follow up to ensure the event is a success. Here are a few tips to help you prepare for the conference.

We'll help you book your conference

The goal of the conference...

…Must be agreed upon by all participants. We recommend that you consider a meeting format as early as the planning stage, asking yourself, “How can I get my participants engaged from the start?”

Make sure your colleagues are informed of the purpose, objectives, and any decisions that need to be made during the meeting at least a couple of months in advance.

Before the conference, you should encourage your employees to start thinking about what matters to them.

Things to keep in mind during meetings

  1. What kind of meeting
  2. Goal/objective: plan or take action
  3. Participants who are required to attend
  4. Provide information on issues
  5. A suitable venue, meals, and activities that inspire

Effective meetings are about taking a long-term view

Remember that the goal and purpose are merely the guiding thread. For the creative development process, it’s important that participants share their thoughts and that you, as the facilitator, gather as much input as you can. If you’re a large group, it might be easier to split into smaller groups; at Körunda, you’ll find plenty of sofas and armchairs that are perfect for group discussions.

Please remember at the meeting

  1. For the record
  2. Follow up on decisions and questions
  3. Plan for the next meeting

Open your mind

Our Power Start by Walk is a simple activity where you can either walk the last few kilometers upon arrival or take a walk around Muskan after your arrival coffee.

Back in the conference room, take a moment to jot down your thoughts and let everyone have their say. The purpose, goal, agenda, and forum have been established—the ball is now rolling for this creative meeting.

Activities are great for fostering teamwork, a sense of community, and inspiration—they provide a refreshing break during a meeting.

Meetings should be fun!

  1. Solve problems
  2. Strengthen the community
  3. Share experiences
  4. Generate ideas
  5. Develop positive workflows

Get the most out of your conference!

Körunda shares 8 tips on how to get the most out of your conference!

To help you get the most out of the conference, we’ve put together some practical tips on what to consider before you arrive at Körunda.

  1. LESS IS MORE

When planning a conference, it’s very easy to want to cram in as much as possible. The fact is, a packed schedule can actually reduce efficiency. Why not cut back on the number of activities, or perhaps split the conference over two days?

  2. PHYSICAL BREAK

Taking a break from work-related activities is a good idea. Taking a break that involves physical activity is even better. Physical activity helps your colleagues take their minds off work, which makes the conference more effective.

  3. SLEEP ON IT

Spreading the conference over two days means you’ll have time to socialize outside of work. Take the opportunity to stay overnight with us and experience the stunning natural surroundings and our delicious food.

  4. MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS

Enjoying some outdoor activities in our beautiful surroundings will spark your creativity. If you decide to stay overnight, you can always take a walk and explore the beautiful area. There’s also the option of playing a round of golf if the urge gets too strong.

  5. DOCUMENT THE CONFERENCE

By taking photos and videos, you’ll be able to look back on what a great time you had and what you learned. Why not start your own hashtag and let all your colleagues share their photos and videos from the conference?

  6. PREPARE AND FOLLOW UP

Make sure you have a clear objective for the conference. Whether the goal is to have a fun weekend or to develop a growth strategy, by communicating the objective before the conference and following up on the results when you return, you show your employees that their participation matters.

  7. INSPIRING CONFERENCE

Choose an inspiring theme for your conference and have your employees work around that theme for a couple of weeks leading up to the event. An inspired team usually achieves much more, and the change of scenery makes this the perfect opportunity to share ideas, suggestions, and news. Pose thought-provoking questions or invite unexpected speakers to spark inspiration within the group.

  8. RECHARGE YOUR ENERGY

Make sure to fuel up properly, but we’re not talking about pastries or other foods that send your blood sugar skyrocketing only to crash later. Opt for fruit and sandwiches to avoid the worst energy slumps.
